IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT MOLD FOLLOWING HURRICANE IRMA

September 11, 2017

Some television personalities in South Florida have suggested that mold should just be ripped out of your home as soon as possible. Please do not do this. If mold is not addressed properly, and you start tearing out moldy items from your walls, ceiling, air conditioning, attic, windows, etc., you run the risk of contaminating your home and personal belongings in addition to exposing yourself, potentially, to the harmful effects of mold. Should a mold situation arise, please contact the appropriate mold professional, e.g., licensed mold assessor and/or a licensed mold remediator. There is a reason that these persons/entities are licensed and you should not take it upon yourself to address a situation that is complex and poses a health hazard/property damage hazard. #mold #HurricaneIrma #Irma.
